I've biult canoes from old corrugated iron filling the holes and seams
with tar scabbed from the roadside on hot summer days. Fished with a
Eucalypt branch and a piece of string, played at Ozzie Tom Sawyer all
my teen years and then some, rowed hundreds of miles in a clinker
built rowing skiff, built sailed and won in my own dinghys, scows and
yachts from 8 years old (yes, I built a Manly Junior dinghy at 8 with
help from my grandfather, a master builder and carpenter of renown
here in Oz)..... Donal, you can only wish you'd had your feet in the
water as much as I.

We don't get tested up here Scout... it's not illegal!

Job?... I'm in Nova Scotia lad... line ups for a pump jockey position. The
fact I even made an interview on the last submission for work with over 200
applicants speaks volumes. I'm negotiating a contract for site supervisor on
a 10 project/ 6 month term in the Northwest Territories for extremely remote
area work in minus 40c temps for this winter.

You do understand I'm currently caring for my parents and not at liberty to
leave until my brother moves into his house next door to assume the
responsibility I shouldered for the last few years. I can't leave until
November.

Man but you guys are a callous lot! Well go ahead and join Ozzy in gloating
at my current fiscal predicament.... meanwhile I have to survey a lot in
exchange for borrowing a splitter to junk 4 cords of wood for the winter. I
wish I could go sailing today since it's a beautiful day. I don't have that
option.
