ASA Remedial English Classes, Lesson One [ Bertie gets trolled]
Nope, but one of my relatives was... on the legal side of
the biz. I had a lot of visits to the 20th Century lot, passes to see the dailies, and a bunch of previewing of new releases. I met Hitchcock at an appreciation dinner for him that the Directors Guild (I believe) put on. "Scout" wrote in message ... Ganz, ur in show biz? I hear (haha, E network) Hitchcock had a real weakness for the fairer sex. Scout "Jonathan Ganz" wrote in message ... Hey, I met Hitchcock, most of the cast of the TV Mash, George Peppard, Shirley Jones, and I was Sean Cassidy's camp consellor. I hate to admit it, but I also met Angie Dickinson and Burt, when I lived in So. Cal. Hitch was the most interesting. We shook hands, and he said, "Pleased to meet you," in his typical elongated speech. He was quite senile at the time, but he did manage to remember my name when we met again after the showing of his movie Rear Window. He gave a little speech to introduce it, but they had to escort him off the stage, as he was starting to ramble. "katysails" wrote in message ... . No, I'm not Gregory Peck, but I not only met him, I sat next to him as we watched his daughter in a play. Thanks for the reminder of a great man and a great memory!! You got to SIT next to Gregory Peck for a whole play?????Can I have your autograph???? I(I stood in back of Charton Heston at the drugstore and then rushed outside to watch him zoom off in a yellow Corvette...I was 16 at the time...) -- katysails s/v Chanteuse Kirie Elite 32 http://katysails.tripod.com "Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea." - Robert A. On Mon, 11 Aug 2003 09:09:28 -0400, a team of surgeons from
alt.sailing.asa removed the following benign growth from Scout: Thanks Katy, It's beginning to look like some of the minor bunyippies could bloom into reasonably intelligent posters. It's only the top dog(s) who still can't manage much more than a "snort" response. snort! My theory is that his overuse of "snort" is an onomatopoeic throwback to the root cause of his disorder. snort! BTW - I do appreciate his random choice of Gregory Peck in his attempt to 'humiliate' me. As you know, Scout is a character from the movie in which Peck cemented his place as my favorite actor of all time. Scout snort! snort! snort! "katysails" wrote I would lend Scout my machete, but then it would all be over too quickly... -- PJR :-) mhm34x8 |
