Default Sailing Under Genoa Alone

The boom is limited in how far forward it can swing by the aft lower shrouds.
Running close to dead downwind, the sail is still going to be filled with air
with the mainsheet all the way out.

What is the problem -you just let the mainsheet out!

Cheers MC

sailed west with a westerly wind under the Genoa cause I couldn't figure out how
to dump the main without turning the boat.
