Here ya go....
While Loco, Scotty, Ganzy and the rest of your posted away your day, Suzanne and I took Alien out for a late afternoon sail. We anchored and cooked chicken and veggies, then sailed some more in the light of a beautiful sunset......perfect air for the real sailors who bothered to head out... I let Suzanne do all of the sailing. She's learning about trim and the helm, doing very well. We sail again tomorrow! http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/tuesday.jpg RB |

Winches at the base of the mast? Haven't seen that on any modern boats under
40 feet. Ugly blue fender on deck while sailing? Boom is on the centerline and the genoa is bagged out? S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster" Trains are a winter sport |

Sorry bobster, but I was sailing from about 4pm until a few minutes ago. I haven't done lake sailing in a while. Nice cool water. "Bobsprit" wrote in message ... Here ya go.... Stupid place for a fender.

Didn't he say he had a new main? That sail looks pretty baggy.
Don't you love the people that sheet in hard on a beam reach. They seem to think that if they are heeling, they must be going fast. Hmmm. We can see how little Steve knows about sailing, though he might blame the angle of the pic. We are actually too far upwind and the genoa (a 150) is furled down to 120 or so. The headsail is actually backing, though it's out frame. Suzanne was trying to make it around Hart Island and back to our slip without tacking again. The wind near Port washington is generally gusty allowing her to make good speed too far up. The big question is why "that's a stupid place for a fender?" Bwahahahahahaha! Go sailing guys! Bwahahahaha! RB |

Use photoshop to level horizon 9 degrees. Now back to level mast. Total angle of heel is 16 degrees. Good call on the 30 degrees, Stevey!!! Bhohohohohohoho!!!!! Hahahahaha! RB |

the genoa down to 120 in 8 k and still heel that much? You think I could induce 30 degrees of heel in 8 knots with that trim? Oh, Okay, Stevey!!! Bwahahahahaha! Don't stop now! RB |

Nice pic. Shame the attitude that goes along with it. By the way, the quality
of the women is improving also, or maybe it their relative state of undress. Your sail trim skills have not improved much. You need to study a little more. We are actually too far upwind and the genoa (a 150) is furled down to 120 That's a big genny. The sheet lead is too far forward even if it is furled. I would hate to see it with the sail completely unfurled. |

would hate to see it with the sail completely unfurled. You're correct. I was too lazy and we were sailing fine. BTW, there was a nice IP 35 out there singlehanding and carrying full sails and while we were faster, I was surprised how well he did in the thermals when the sun went down. I'm sure he was damn comfortable, making 6 knots+ with very little heel. If I lived someplace with better wind I'd think about an IP. RB |

Dear Scotty, Alien will be sailing with a straight crew on Saturday, starting at 3:30. They will be mostly female. Alien will sail again on Sunday, but one of the girls will be gay and is married to another woman. That may be a bit too troubling for you. In any case you're welcome on either day. The "Alien Rule" is that you bring drinks...and one for the boat. Hope to see you there! Capt RB |

on deck. Yeah, it hurts when I stub a toe on those HARD fenders!!! Scotty must be buying solid fenders at Walmart! Bwahahahahahaha! RB |

2 questions.......
Did the ladies get married in Canada? You state guests should bring drinks and one for the boat yet you stated previously you do not allow alcohol onboard while underway let alone consumption.... what gives? I'm not trying to pin you here... I'm hoping you've relaxed your onboard/underway imbibing regulations.
