Found an interesting article in the online times newspaper today. Seems that anglers are moving in large numbers away from river fishing to artificially stocked waters where they are guaranteed a good catch. This could be very positive news for the access situation on our rivers in the long term. Article is he http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...514028,00.html Let me get this straight... to alleviate the anglers vs canoeist access problems, all canoeists should become anglers, over fish the rivers and persuade the real anglers to go to lakes? Think I'm going to start drowning maggots behind my boat. ;-) |
