fs: 1980 Allied Seawind Mk II 32' in N. Florida
I am aware of a decent one that went for $22k recently. Which seems a rather
better deal than a Seawind for $49k asking. I don't know much about decent boats. This particular C&C 33 was practically a showpiece, really beautiful and probably worth 40K based on sail inventory alone. Seawind for 49K asking has little to do with what she'll sell for and if she's a "gem" with a lot of gear, she may be worth far more than other examples. A Tartan 37 recently sold for 20K above FMV because of her state of restoration. Still, I find the price of sailboats to be steadily increasing for popular builders. Especially if you want a really nice example that is better than decent. RB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup. btw, I understand there are Westsail 42's coming asking for less than six
figures today. I've never seen a W42 in person, so I can't comment. RB ---------------------------------------------------------------------- rec.boats.marketplace is a moderated newsgroup. See rules and legal disclaimer at http://www.algebra.com/rbm |
