Default FS: Perkins Turbodiesel Engine in SF Bay Area $5K

Still available. I've gotten a few inquiries - asking the same
questions so here's some clarification:

Engine is actually 160hp (boat itself cruises at appx 10-12 kts - not
a fast boat).

The boat is a 1969 Luhrs Flybridge/Sedan sportfisher - quite spacious.
Very cool fishing boat (former charterboat).

Not suitable for a liveaboard (speaking as a former-liveaboard person
- NOT on this boat!). If you want to gut the interior and start over,
it's certainly large enough - but it would require significant effort
to convert it over.

LOA 32'6" - Beam 12'4". Not trailerable - would have to be shipped on
a semi-truck and require special permits and "Wide Load"
chase-vehicle.

Solid fiberglass hull - practically bulletproof @ 3/8" thick. Hull
takes offshore/roughwater conditions *very* well!

Cabinsides are wood and require significant work due to water damage.
Windows s/b replaced to prevent future damage (since the leaks came
from poorly-designed sliding windows).

Original 1960's orange-plaid interior (Groovy, man! ;-) needs updating
after exterior issues are addressed...

It's well worth the effort - if you are a skilled Do-It-Youselfer who
enjoys woodworking, loves boats (and has LOTS of time).

Brutally-honest description at: www.imqtpi.com/qtboats.htm

(I'm a lousy salesperson - but I want the boat to go to someone who
knows what they're getting into!)

I've priced it as a project boat because it *is* a project boat!

Asking $5000 (BUC value is $25-28K, if restored - and it won't cost
nearly that much to bring it back - IF you do the work yourself)

Email me at boatgoddess~~at~~y93ail~~dot~~com (I hate spammers!!!)

Thanks!
