The only thing for certain is Harry, James, Salty, et al will probably
continue to spin, dance, attack and do what they can to drive any
oppositition away from the conversation. This is not a party of
tolerance or compromise, they have proven to be a party of hate and
censorship...They can't help but sit back and throw stones... So buck
up and keep working, someone will have to pay for their folly. I'm
still waiting for Obama to say something about health care

I lived in Illinois while Dirksen was senator. I always remember his famous
line, "a billion here, a billion there and pretty soon we're talking real
money". Of course back in his day a billion bought a lot more than today.

You don't pay federal income taxes.

The problem is I haven't been paying Social Security taxes for the last
1/3 of the year. But, once The Obama gets sworn in I'll be paying them
for the full year.

Do you know how many jobs are going to be lost because of that increase
in taxes? If you think 6.5% unemployment is high you haven't seen
anything yet.
