Take big business out of the equation and those numbers fall a lot.
Make all contributions go directly to the candidates. Eliminate
corporate contributions. Require any contributions to other groups,
like the rnc and dnc, be limited in use to issue advertising only with
no mention of any candidates by name. Then you are just left with
direct campaign funding coming from individuals that support the
candidate.

Are you suggesting that big business/corporations are supporting Obama
over
McCain by more than 2 to 1?

Eisboch

No. The general public is supporting Obama over McCain 2 to 1. The
real Joe the plumbers. Direct contributions to a candidate are
limited to $2,300.- Hide quoted text -

Yeah, that's why Obama won't release the lists of donors.. for all we
know, forigen governments might be supplying that cash like the
millions the Chinese military gave Clinton.. Which was of course
returned "after" the election...

Obama has submitted everyone that contributed over $200. That's the
regulation. There's no reason to think that the Chinese would get any
better treatment under Obama that would begin to explain your paranoia on
that topic. The noise about the under $200 is just one more smear attempt
by the repubs. At the moment they are throwing everything at the wall to
see what sticks.

The point of my post is that the limit to candidates is $2,300 per
individual. The combined limit to parties is $38,500 per individual. There
is no limit on what the party may turn around and give to a candidate or
what the party can spend on a candidate's behalf. Thus you have all the fat
cats giving huge amounts to the rnc which in turn spends it on McCain. As
you can see from Eisboch's reference. The reverse is happening in Obama's
campaign. Most of his money is coming from small individuals because it has
been given directly to the campaign and falls under the $2,300 limit. Far
less money is going to the dnc.

Actually.....he has ideas and promises with no idea how to fund and/or
implement them.

The ignorant (his base) buy into it.
