Did you make your pole? I did this in about 10 minutes , from memory. Had to put some weight in the tail piece to balance it. http://i35.tinypic.com/wk5jm8.jpg Yeah, mine's made. I put a threaded joint at the top of the vertical piece, and add about a foot horizontally at the base of the section holding the flag (using another 45 degree piece). Eventually we'll put a name sign on it. It works very well! Send me a picture. I'll do so in a couple weeks. Right now the trailer is at the yard, but we're going to Niagara Falls when our friends from the Netherlands get here. It's almost identical to this one, with a threaded joint at the top of the vertical section. That makes it a little less bulky for storage in the trailer. http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l2...akePark032.jpg Go ride the Maid of the Mist on the the Canadian side. Much better boat ride up to the falls. The Niagara Falls trip will have to wait for spring. It seems the campgrounds, at least the several I looked at, all close their doors on October 15th, or earlier. We then thought to visit Cape Cod, but the news was the same. We found one that was open, but all the facilities were closed on October 15th. So, we're going to West Virginia instead. -- A Harry Krause truism: "It's not a *baby* kicking, beautiful bride, it's just a fetus!" [A Narcissistic Hypocrite] |

Campgrounds in the north country close in the winter due to lack of business and freezing water pipes. Besides, most RVs aren't that well insulated. It would cost a fortune to keep them warm in the winter. |

I did look on line and saw that they do have quite a good reputation among avid bike riders. |

I recommend the Hotel Morgan in Morgantown. Nice old hotel, comfy rooms, great downtown location, right across the street from Madeleine's Restaurant. Much more comfortable than a tin-can camper. Oh...for a classy guy like you, though...you might prefer Nitro, West Virginia. Kind of a smelly, chemical-laden atmosphere. You won't notice the stench. |
