We moved it there because I may bring the boat up through the canal and anchor just offshore for a few days. I wanted a very identifiable landmark that I could see from the boat because all the beach houses will look the same from 150-200 yards offshore. Use a hand held GPS on the beach to get a precise fix. If you can pin point the house on Google Earth that will give you exact Lat/Lon also. If the wind pipes up out of the nor'east you will have some exciting moments coming and going from the beach. I'd suggest towing the dinghy so you don't have to worry about launching it in the swells. Ours can be a real bear to control if the boat is rolling and the dinghy is in the air. |
