This looks a little different from the trim solenoids I've replaced in the past but I'm assuming it's just a sealed unit that does the same thing. Does anyone know the name of this part? Do these things commonly fail? I'm having a hard time finding the part on the internet. Can I test the pump by bypassing this part - the pump has a Blue and Green wire going to it. http://www.rovatune.com/trimsolenoid.jpg Thanks for any help Larry Touch 12V to the blue lead the pump should activate and the drive moves up. 12V to green should make the drive go down. That thing with the circuit breaker might be a combo device with solenoids and breaker. You'll figure it out. OOPS! Hit too soon. the pump motor , that is if it's a magnet field motor. your two wires go to the brushes Possible to put positive on one wire, and neg. to the other. Motor should run one direction, change the polarity and it will run the other direction. That rule usually applies to magnet motors though. Like an automotive window motor |
