Ugh, this is the part I hate.. Today I will take the Brockway to the
back yard and tie it to a tree. Then I will drive the trailer out from under it.. that's the easy part. Next I will start to lever and wedge the hull over with 2x4s and work it up a few inches at a time with sticks stuck up under the gunnels until I get it up on it's side. After that, I will carefully work my way to the transom, balancing the hull on its side and work my way around to the other side. Then I will let it down as easily as possible until it gets to a point of terminal force and I just move out of the way.. Fortunately, it's a beefy boat and can take a real beating. A friend borrowed a smaller one once and dropped it off the top of his truck at 55 mph.. The thing didn't even bust, just scratched the heck out of the paint ![]() ![]() Scotty from SmallBoats.com |
