The only important poll is conducted on the first Tuesday in Nov. but if Obama had a lead in the polls, can you imagine who would be cut and pasting the polling results on a daily basis? I was really surprised with Bill's speech last night, he was as good as he ever was. It really doesn't matter if you agree with Bill or not, he was able to deliver a great speech. If he was half as good during Billary's campaign as he was last night, she might have been the Dem's candidate. He sure was out of it during her campaign. Talk about sticking his foot in his mouth at every campaign stop. |

If you're interested, these two sites can keep you up to date. I am surprised you are not upset about Biden showing off his grandchildren. Eisboch Why? It's traditional and appropriate at that moment- the end of the speech at a convention - for the candidate's family to appear on stage. Besides, Biden, especially, has a compelling family story, as I am sure you know. A poster repeatedly posting photos of little clone grandchildren in a usenet boating discussion group or discussion board doesn't pass the "who gives a ****" test. It's not the same as posting photos of a handsome and clever dog. Dogs are always on topic. I can almost "smell" the GOP convention next week...plenty of talk about Jesus, an end to abortion, corporate entitlements, lies about how drilling will end our energy crisis, lower taxes for the deserving wealthy, "I was a POW for five years," and "he's an independent thinker" but of course he isn't. So...you're a Republican...what's your guess on the veep nom? -- No way, no how, no McCain! |

Eisboch I know Harry would think anyone proud that his children could procreate is stupid, but I think the way Biden handled the death of his wife, and how great his children are doing, should be very proud of them and his grandkids. I didn't know about Biden's wife dying soon after he was elected to Congress, but I could understand why he was so emotional looking back on his career, his life and his family. I don't agree with Biden's politics, but I am sure he is a great father and Opa and he has every right to be damn proud of those grandkids. |
