![]() "hk" wrote in message . .. I think it reasonable for a presidential candidate to know how many houses he and his wife own. I wonder if McCain knows what a half gallon of milk or a dozen eggs sell for? I doubt it. Neither do I. I haven't had a glass of milk or a real, home cooked egg in about 3 years. So what? Eisboch You're not running for public office. Someone who is...should Don't you go to the supermarket? Very rarely. We don't have kids living in the house anymore. There's no reason for me to be current with the price of a gallon of milk. So, I don't have a clue, and I don't think it makes any difference if I were running for public office or not. I *do* know, based on conversations with my daughter who feeds two growing boys with bottomless pits and my two sons' wives and their families that food costs are going out of sight. I know pretty accurately how much they all spend a week for food. I think *that's* important to know, not an itemized grocery shopping list. Ask McCain about the high cost of food. I think he has an idea. Ask him how much a lb. of boloney costs and I won't hold it against him if he doesn't have the current answer on the tip of his tongue. This stupid stuff is nothing but political spin and frankly, it is an insult to the intelligence of the American people. Eisboch |
