Can anybody help me answer a few questions?
I am curious what Engine Manufacturers are popular and what Engine Models are common in the US? Also how do people usually service or repair their engines? Where do you take your boats for service/repair? My situation is this. Currently my family provides spare parts for Marine (ship) Diesel Engines, but mainly in Asia. I would like to setup an office in LA but I do not know enough about the Marine Diesel Engine market in the US. Do you think you could help me answer a few questions regarding Marine Diesel Engines in the US? |

I'm hoping he's going to bring some Indian Listeroids with him to the states....cleaned up of sand inside, preferably. We're all going to be boating with Listeroids when it goes over $10/gallon. Listeroids run great on hot vegetable oil from a french fryer for 40 years. Pucka....Pucka....Pucka....Pucka....Pucka.....what a great sounding engine. |

Outside of small diesels in sail boats many of the US recreational engines are gas. Commercial boating uses more diesel but you will not find any of them in this news group. You need to find a way to get in contact with the more commercial side. |
