I'm not sure but I think Delco Remy (Delphi) just built a hugh mfg. plant there.... Kind of makes you wonder what your alternators are made of huh?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Oh, I KNOW what they're made of. seems odd that Delphi can't make anything good. never have. Most alternators on GM automotive give out within anywhere from 85-135 mi. But genuine Nippon-Denso used on the likes of Dodge Cummins trucks will go up to 200! Even then, they need a minor repair of replacing a cheap brush pod, and with 200,000 mi. the berings, for the most part are as good as they day they were first installed. If it wasn't for Delco, auto-electric rebuilders would probably go out of business..... |
