Just got back from dinner and a quick drive-through of the local
fishermen's marina. Boats are already lined up on their trailers for the Saturday opening of "catch and keep" season for striped bass. |

Tried to hook up with a few party boats, head boats, and there reply was
that there is or no good fishing until May. Oh well day late and a dollar short. HK wrote: Just got back from dinner and a quick drive-through of the local fishermen's marina. Boats are already lined up on their trailers for the Saturday opening of "catch and keep" season for striped bass. |

Down here on Chesapeake Bay, though, the fishing is hot and heavy for striped bass. Until Saturday, it is catch and release. After that, it's keep season, within the rules and regs. |

Harry can definitely put you on some fish! He can even get you a bunch of flounder, which very few folks on the Bay can do. He's been catching the hell out of stripers with his tandem rigs. Look for a fun day and a fine catch! -- John *H* (Not the other one!) |

Catch and keep, I like that idea. I can't really see much sport in catch and release. Seems really detremental to the fish's health. Of course, their health is determental when they head for the filet knife, too! |
