ROTFL!!!!! It is funny in a serious kind of way. The vast majority of these FWC warning signs are not on the charts, and they are wood placards on wood pilings, almost no radar signature at all. The whole manatee issue is totally out of control. Anyone in Florida who wants a speed limit for some personal reason can petition for a "manatee" zone to be created. FWC loves it because it makes them feel important and creates more laws to enforce. If you hit a FWC sign at night it is a *serious* safety issue. I understand - there are markers on the CT river that are the responsibility of state DEP and none of them are on the charts. It just sounded funny. As to manatees, that's an amazing situation. |
