I am facing a problem.. sometimes when I try to load the boat back on the
trailer, the boat doesn't align correctly on the wooden track. and
sometimes it flows side to side. In a bad days, I have to try 10 times
before getting it correctly. This is really annoying.!!!!! But it is so
weird, in some days, I can do it in one time.

The worst situation I have experienced: I couldn't load the boat, and other
boaters came into help but no one were able to do it. Finally I had to pull
the boat to the land and those guys helped me to lift the boat (yes, man
power) to put it on the right track. That was pretty embarassing. Oh man..

I talked to a local marina, the dude there suggested me to install something
similar to this (a Loading guide post)

You might be backing the trailer too deep into the water. The way I do it
is to back the trailer not quite far enough for the boat to float onto it.
I then winch it on and rock the boat back and forth until the rails set
where they need to be.

Bunk Trailers are meant to have the boat driven onto them, not floated.
Put the trailer less in the water, so that you can still see some of the
bunk and then drive the boat onto it. If the bunks are adjusted
correctly to the bottom of the boat, it will go on straight, and then
you can winch it on the rest of the way.

Had the same problem, normally resulted in manhandling the boat onto the
trailer when it was out of the water. I not do not back in af far and
installed a roller at the back.Boat always is centered and straight. Do not
go so far back.

The trailer must be absolutely flat from side to side. Since the boat sits
flat in the water, if one bunk is lower than the other when you float the
boat onto the bunks, then haul it out, the boat will end up being higher on
the bunk that was the lowest in the water. I have rollers and the same
principle applies ... the trailer must be flat when I power the boat up onto
it ... and I find it best not to have the trailer too submerged as well ...
this helps the boat align itself better on the rollers as I power onto the
trailer. Getting the trailer flat sometimes means hogging the ramp a bit ...
one in particular here is only flat in the middle of a the 2 boat wide ramp.
At that ramp I watched a guy try and try and try to get his boat level on a
not level trailer ... no way. Anyway ... I suggest give those suggestions
(level trailer, not too deep) a try before you buy those guides.

Do you know if the trailer came new with the boat you use it for? If not,
it may be that the trailer isn't rigged properly for your boat.

As well as the other good advice (keep the trailer level, don't go too deep)
be sure the bunks are hitting the hull in the right spot. The position of
the bunks is usually adjustable, maybe it's out of whack...

Not sure I agree that you need to drive up on the trailer, BTW. It should
be easy enough to load a 14' on a bunk trailer without any extra guide or
driving it on. This method has been controversial , since some like to give
it a shot and get out quicker, but launching and pulling your boat out isn't
a race. There is an element of danger for a newbie to do this...

I'd have a close look at your rig when it's properly on the trailer and see
if the bunks make sense with the "grooves" (steps) of the hull. have a pro
trailer guy adjust them if you're in doubt and you don't feel comfortable
doing it yourself. It could just be a mismatch.

Other than that, until you're used to it, try launching and pulling out when
there isn't a crowd and practice it a bit. You'll catch on quickly, just
take your time and check everything you do carefully. I have some hilarious
posts about funny launch stories, and I've seen some good ones happen
myself. Even people that think they know it all can do some pretty silly
things. Not me though, of course there's one guy that always talks
about his laminated card of checklist points.
