Pretty easy to make a nice, nasty Molotov Cocktail only instead of
gas, use gun powder. Sweeten that with some roofing nails, a few
pieces of magnesium, 'ya got 'cha some elementary RPG material.

Some surgical tubing to launch and just let 'em get close enough -
wham, bam, thank you mam - toasted pirates.

End the crap easily. Like the tug that was held for a couple of months and
was ransomed. Just inform the pirates that their home village will be
eliminated from the living. And do it at least once.
