1000 years is equally idiotic. The war against religious fundamentalism is
not going to be won via militarism.

Well, I agree that the war may not be won, but the physical attacks on this
country may be controlled.

And any plan to spread the wealth, health, and prosperity can not
happen until there are somewhat stable and safe environments for us to
deliver to. That means leaders in those countries who want to let the
folks prosper, sometimes that takes a war, sometimes not.
