Really nice boat, if you are into oversized center consoles, but IPS
drives? On a fishing boat? According to the voice-over, the draft is
about 40-inches. Man, I would hate to touch bottom with those
thingies on the bottom of the hull...much worse consequences than
simply dinging a prop.

What a boat, though.

It is nice. I think the idea with a 40' boat is not to venture into
shallow water. It's an off-shore fishing boat.

Personally though, I just don't understand the intrigue of a center
console fishing boat of that size. I'd much prefer a sportsfish or
convertible design that offers sleeping quarters and a galley with a
large cockpit for fishing. Small CC's make sense, but not something
that size .... to me anyway.

I agree, to a point. Center consoles are great up to maybe 27'. After
that, I'd want a cabin with headroom and a full head and a galley. I
don't much like strictly flying bridge control sportfish boats much
these days, though they are great in Florida.

Overuse of the word "much" in the same sentence. You said you are/were
a writer?
