If that were the case, wouldn't he have said so? Harry asserts that
his
name was "removed from the list".
Not that I am a fan of harry's, but I don't see why Harry owes you or
anybody else an explanation.
==================================
He once told me that he had a college deferment and that kept him off
the list for that time. That was the case with a lot of people at
the
time, including my district manager. And, you know what? I don't
blame
them one damn bit!! I would have avoided that war as quickly as
anyone. Our Idiot-in-Chief took us into one of the worst wars
imaginable and the expected the youth of the country to go fight it.
And for what?? There was no winner, only a lot of losers.....
Yep...I was II-S for a while. But then I graduated, and my draft
status
changed to I-A. But then...fate intervened. I certainly never
"dodged"
the draft.
Harry, did you not earlier say that only the stupid got drafted?
Dear Dumb John:
You got drafted, right? Your question, therefore, is asked and answered.
It must suck to be so embarrassed that you have to snip three-fourths of
a
post before replying.

He was deferred, reclassified 1A,dropped off the list, and blessed by a
twist of fate. Seems like he went to a lot of trouble to stay home with
the girls. And now he finally declares that he is not a draft dodger. I
guess we should believe him. Eh. Harry wouldn't lie, would he?
I am not defending Harry but I have to ask this question to you, Booger,
Herring and Reggie....

Why the hell are you guys so obsessed about him and his past/present life?
I can understand 3rd graders engaged in that behavior, but not grown men.
You are all making an ass of yourself. Grow up.- Hide quoted text -

I can't speak for them, but I can for me. I have been laid up for a
while, and bored too. Sparing with Harry is fun, I think he likes it
too, what's the harm? a bunch of crazy old men waiting for the snow to
melt...;)

Sparring with soft butter is much more fun, and more mentally stimulating.

We just *know* where you slather on that soft butter, and there is no
question for you it is more stimulating.

Do you three think of nothing else?

Now that you and Herring are discussing your perversions, I thought a
subject change was in order.

How typically Republican: "sex" is so scary!

It was 40+ years ago - a whole different lifetime.

I'm not defending Harry, but get a freakin' life.

Nobody cares anymore.

I got out of the service almost 20 years ago. Yet Harry receives no flak
for his derogatory comments about same, whether mine or anyone else's.

Because it doesn't matter what Harry thinks.

It's as simple as that.

You served honorably, went above and beyond the call making it a
career and rose to Staff command level.

Why should you care what he thinks? He can make all the idiotic
comments he wants - he has no clue what you had to sacrifice or the
effort made to achieve your Staff level rank.

The only way that achievement can be taken away from you is for you to
take it away from yourself. If you react to his taunts, then he wins
and you look foolish.

I was just a grunt - dumbass Marine, but I would think that an officer
and a gentleman would understand when he's being played and just
ignore it.

Then again, maybe not.

Share the wealth, Tom.

I just did.

Got me there, I guess that was pretty vulgar, directed at someone
here, and of course, said with malicious intent. Yup, I should be
ashamed of my self, lucky I hide behind a sock puppet so I don't have
to be accountable for what I say here.. oh wait... forget it...
