Hey, from a post I read, heard you are having some problems,
everything okay?
Wishing you well....

Lung issues again... I am getting a little nervous this time as the
meds do not seem to be working. I guess trying to go to work in a
dusty stables was not a good idea. Just hope I did not push the
irritation too far... time will tell, wish me luck.

Might be time to get out of the cool damp NorthEast and try living in
Arizona.. or other dry climate.
Good luck!

This is the first year that the cold air caused pain just to breath. I
have notified my family that we may have to pull up stakes and move
south anyway. This sucks... I did it to myself though.. please don't
smoke guys, and if you do, find a way to quit.- Hide quoted text -

7 years here. Luckily, (and I smoked like a freakin' freight train) my
lungs were in good shape when I quit. I'm trying like hell to get my
step-son-in-law to quit.

I don't know about lungs, but I know that the humid climate of the
southeast is MUCH better on my sinuses than the dry climates of the
west.

Guess I was 'lucky' when we were kids. All we could afford was 'makins'
(can of tobacco & the cigarette papers to be hand rolled) or Russian
cigarettes off the many fishing boats or grain freighters that docked here.
I didn't like the taste right from the start so dropped it early.

I really loved Tennessee when I spent time there as a young man... We
spent a lot of time on the banks of the Tenn. River, just up from the
Tim's Ford Dam. I could live there. Also looking around your area.
Lake Hartwell and surrounding area...

Stay out of the barn.

Mrs.E. brought one of her horses back to our barn yesterday. It only took
a half hour hanging around in there before I could feel my chest tightening
and mild wheezing to start due to the hay and dust. In my case it's
obviously an allergy.

Good luck.

My life would be a lot different if I had not taken so long last year
to address a bronchitis (sp?). I let it go way too far and scarred up
a good chunk of my right lung. Now everything bothers me, I really
screwed up, and all because I had company in for a couple of weeks
from out of town and did not want to take time to go get some meds for
the "bad cold". I have a lot of problem accepting that..

Good luck, and don't blame yourself to much. I smoke enough dope everyday to
kill a heard of cattle with no affects to me at all.

Yep, Hartwell is a great place. I'm planning on moving up there in the
near future. I've also got a little land in the mountains near Toccoa
so I'll have the best of both worlds.

An odd thing: I used to get bronchitis every single winter until I
moved south. Add to that that I smoked from the time I was oh, about
15, it's no small miracle that I'm not in your shoes. Not being a lung
fairy, all I can do is wish and hope for the best for you. But, hey,
if it necessitates a move south, we'll get to meet, fish and quaff a
homebrew together!
