My day was great. I spent some bucks on fishing gear, and my wife
bought me some new "resort" clothes for my trip next week.

I spent the afternoon with Mrs. H shopping for a stand for our new HDTV
as we will be giving our old 36" RCA (1994 vintage) cathode ray and
stand to our daughter since receiving our new 46" Sony HDTV.

The payoff was a great shrimp and crap dinner followed by a movie on the
new TV.

BTW: Time Warner sucks big time as it does not appear to recognize
HDMI. Although the S-Video input works on our box/set the HDMI input
does not, despite swapping out TW HD boxes, HDMI cables and trying
various settings on the new Sony.

Better call the Geek squad.

That is never an option. Between TW and me we will get it squared away.

BTW: The picture using the S-Video connection is pretty impressive!

HDMI is a digital signal connection and should be the absolute best
available from the video source. I haven't invested in an HD-TV set yet as
local channels are not available on the satellite service I use.

In my research I have read of problems with the HDMI interface and
compatibility between components. You might want to try a Google search for
"time warner hdmi problems". You may find something to help you out.

We ate Alaskan king crab claws/legs. Perhaps better than the crab from
your area but realizing they are all bottom feeders.

I like softshell crabs from this area, because you can eat the whole
thing. Never been into the spicy crab banging business of crab eating so
popular around here...lots of work for a little bit of crab meat. I
prefer the Alaskan claws and legs, too.

If I remember right (two years since we bought our HDTV) it was the Motorola
DVR Recorder, rented from the cable company, that had to be set to HDMI.
I'll ry to remember to check that tomorrow.

See if you have "component" connections on the back of the box (labeled
Pr,Y, and Pb). If so, buy a set of them and use them instead of S-Video
since S-Video can not pass an HD signal. Many times the component
connections will look even better than HDMI.

JimH, is there a reason you must tell us for at least the third time that
you're giving your 16 year-old TV to your daughter?

We all believe you are a most generous person!

You couldn't get a copy of your first Parker purchase order to Chuck
fast enough to have Chuck verify that you purchased a Parker.

It appears we are only left to conclude that all but the first Parker

What a dumfoch you are. You actually believe I care what you and the
other losers like you think? I'll be glad to sit naked on the glass
plate of my xerox machine, make a copy and send you a photo of my ass,
which you can kiss. What you and the other peabrains "conclude" matters
to no one, anywhere.

That's mister dumfoch dropout to you.

Yes, you do seek interaction with and approval by of others. You
constantly jump into conversations with you hand raised practically
screaming me too, me too. You seek acceptance from a few in this
newsgroup who have, from all appearances had extremely successful lives.
Your modus operandi is well know. Your incessant belittling of anyone
and everyone, except a few, who express a different view on a subject
are belittled and berated.

You might make a frightening psychological study to someone who does
those studies.

BTW, you misspelled license. You should have stayed in high school.

A misspelled word equals high school dropout? How many times did you
drop out of high school last week? I would imagine by the volume of your
postings that it may be between 10 and 20.

We all can't hold an unsubstantiated degree from Yale, have a Dr. PhD
wife, own a 36' Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat. Just to name a few of your
lies.

Don, have you ever asked yourself these questions, is Harry a compulsive
liar, is Harry abusive to those who politely disagree with him, and is
Harry constantly seeking attention and acceptance from others, a select
few others. Be objective, don't let your perceived friendship with Harry
cloud your ability to think clearly, because if you get on the wrong
side of Harry he will turn on you and viciously attack you.

A crab picking is a social event as much as it is an eating event. If
you had friends you would know that.
