So let me get this straight. He was thrown out of the union and
prevented from working, however they want him to pay an $81,000 fine.
What authority do they have to enforce the fine? I think the more
successful lawsuit will be from his end citing the unions restriction
against him making a living. My guess he'll be back in the union in no
time, maybe even hosting their next award show and joking about it.
Every performance has a fool. ?I think Quaid is a good actor and I
appreciate his creative process.
You should ask Harry, he's so refined and cultured that he watches all
of those Hollywood fictional movies.....
Yeah, and I'd think that the union would be more interested in sucking
up dues than kick out a payee.
But what I consider the irony is this.
Where was the union to protect him when the union was throwing him
out????

My understanding is that Quaid blew off his performances, walked off the
stage on several different dates, and by behaving in a highly
unprofessional manner, caused a number of performers and allied theater
workers to lose their jobs. He was brought up on charges by his fellow
Equity actors, and the charges stuck.

You're objecting to professionals policing their fellow professionals?

Not at all. Policing professionals by fellow professionals is good and
should be encouraged. and honestly, I wish it would happen more often
especially in the medical profession. (personal experience), but
that's another story....

My point should be that ifrhis report is correct, and before the crap
hit the fan with him (Quaid) that bad, why wasn't he fired and
replaced with an under study? it's happened before and I'm sure will
happen in the future

Somethings that should, just doesn't make sense.

Firing Quaid is not the job of his fellow actors.

What I've read states nothing about his walking off the show.
