Pansy.

Lemon is for lemonade and iced tea.

and wheat beer.

Actually there are a few idiots who don't use lemon in their wheat beer,
but they have a tendency to vote for people like Billary.

from Beer Advocate

The Lemon Conspiracy
This is one of those subjects that there's absolutely no gray area. The
lines have been drawn and the sides are clearly against each other in
the clouded world of wheat beers.

It's all about lemon, or no lemon.

On one side, we have beer drinkers that run in the same group as those
people who put salt on their $20 porterhouse steak before they even
taste it. A lemon in their wheat beer is a must. Even worse, some go too
far and request a slice of lemon in their Belgian White Ale! The Horror!
We are not telling you to take sides, but don't cry when your beer has
no head ... you can blame it on the lemon wedge and its acidity.

On the other side are people who appreciate beer straight up. They lust
after that unique yeast flavor that would otherwise be destroyed by a
sharp wedge of lemon.

Is there a right or wrong? Who knows? It's very subjective. So whatever
your fancy may be, wheat beers offer a broad range of characteristics as
the perfect summer brew, or a brew to enjoy all year round (no lemon
please). Skoal!

This isn't the first time you were wrong, and it won't be your last.

You have been drinking the wrong IPA. *I prefer IPA with strong hoppy
flavor such as Anchor IPA, Sierra Nevada IPA or Redhook IPA. *There are
lots of great regional IPA's even better than therse 3, but those three
are readily available nationally. *There are some nice ales, but "ale"
seems to cover such a broad range that too many of them are one note and
mild flavor.

Please send me some of your ale, and i will write up a detailed review.
Either a case or keg will allow me to give it the attention it deserves.. *

Reggie, Anchor doesn't make an IPA. There is an Anchor Liberty Ale
that's quite good, though and close to an American Pale Ale. I like
Sierra Nevada IPA, and also their Wheat Beer is very good.

While they don't call it an IPA Anchor Liberty Ale really is an IPA

I only drink wheat beer in the summer with a twist of lemon.

No lemon needed with Sierra Nevada Wheat. Try it, you'll like it. No,
Liberty Ale isn't an IPA. It isn't even an American Pale Ale, but it's
closer to American than anything. It IS a very good beer, none the
less. Because of it's hybrid style, Beer Advocate calls it an APA.

Well no matter what it is, it is a really nice hoppy complex beer. I
noticed that many people commented about it being bitter. It seems some
people taste hops as a bitter taste, and others think it is a sweet or
fruity taste. I would never consider it bitter.

But it is good to see both you and SWS are wrong about your beer, now
both of you can "cry in your beer".

I actually have had wheat beer often without a twist, but have never
tasted SN Wheat. Since I drink very little beer, I only drink draft
when I go out to a pub, and haven't seen SN Wheat on draft, but I am
sure it is at The Summit Wayside.

Sadly, that is true.

But again we must remember that even when I'm wrong I'm right.

It's a conceptual thing.
