My cholesterol numbers are right where I want them to be, and without medications. No disagreement that it's good for you. I tried over and over last winter with the various types but just couldn't handle it. I do a cup of dry puffed wheat and some yogurt (which took some time, but I now enjoy). Eisboch I don't know that it is true, but the claim for oatmeal is that it absorbs "cholesterol" or fat, anyway, and keeps some of it from getting into your bloodstream. I like puffed wheat, too, but I don't believe it works as oatmeal does. Have you tried any of the low-fat yogurt drinks? Not bad. |
