That's what I meant by "personally experienced". Is that what you mean,
too?

My daughter went to Lee County schools for 10 years and I volunteered
at the middle schools for a while, talking about water quality until
we figured out I wasn't preaching the company line (all evel is caused
by boaters and "Big Sugar"). I just told it the way I saw if from 8
years of actual water sampling.

I hereby offer my condolences. That's what you get for living in a
backward state, I guess. Here (NY), my son never got any sort of slanted
crap. Matter of fact, his social studies books were neutral to the point
of being as boring as the airbrushed bras in the old Sears catalogs. Does
Floriduh have a state syllabus, or is everything determined at the local
level, by the Klan, church, or whoever's in charge?

Just wondering.... How much of your sons Social Studies curriculum was
dedicated to the Revolutionary War, and to the Founding Fathers?

Just the right amount.

Florida used to grossly underpay its classroom teachers. I hope that has
changed. The state used to rank about 30th in teacher pay. Blech.

Oy. People like that respond very well to shock, pain and embarrassment. You
needed to crank it up.

Did I ever tell you about my son's petition adventure with his math teacher
in 10th grade?

Maybe you should contain your childish wishes and refrain from talking about
bitch slapping people because you don't agree with them. When kids throw
tantrums like that, they get in trouble. When they grow up and act out those
fantasies, they get arrested, or worse.

Harry would never make a decent musician because of his narrow minded

Pablo Casals (cello) and Andres Segovia (guitar) are just two examples
of extremely narrow minded but completely "decent" musicians. They
both spoke very harshly about how all music other than their own was
total crap. There are countless others who are very accomplished
musically, but feel the same way. I'm not, of course suggesting that
all great musicians are narrow minded.

I'm sure there are other reasions why Harry would never make a decent
musician, but that isn't one of them.- Hide quoted text -

Andres Segovia collaborated with a LOT of musicians outside of his
genre.
He even persuaded a lot of composers who wouldn't compose for the
guitar, to do so, one being the late Albert Harris.
