Soon, ETEC will rule the world!!! MMMUUUUUUAAAWWWWAAAAHHHHHAAAAAA!!!!! All this with hardly any sales and very few dealers. eBay? Of course Harry - you would know. 90% of the outboards on display were ETECs at Boston. Setting up at the CMTA show yesterday, mostly ETECs. A few Verados, very few Yamahas. Only the stuck in the mud, Lego built Parkers were wedded to Yamaha. Ancient technology - move up to the real world Harry - go ETEC. You know you want to. :) There are fewer eTecs on the water around here than Suzukis, and there are very few Suzukis. If eTecs are so great, why are so few of them being sold? You could drive through the local marina on a weekday and maybe see one or two eTecs, and this is a marina with several hundred outboard trailer boats and outboards at slips. The only places I hear about eTecs are here, when you pimp them, and on one of the boating discussion groups, where your eTec clones try to convince everyone you really don't have to buy two in order to assure you are going to get back to shore. My issue, by the way, isn't with eTec technology, per se. It's with the brand, which its owners will dump without a second thought. There's no Evinrude anymore. |

Because people in Maryland and Virginia don't have a clue? ETEC is making a real penetration in the four stroke market up here - you are seeing more and more of them as the smarter folks actually look into it and see that Yamaha - well, no other way to put it - is largely made in China, less efficient, less power-to-weight ratio and, frankly, suck. :) Heh, heh, heh... Your low life Pahkuh would be lucky to last 10 minutes on a rough day in the ocean or on the Chesapeake. Well, Whine, according to reports, that's nine minutes and forty five seconds longer than *your* average woody. Is it just me, or does that comment seem very strange? Somehow, how long someone has a "woody" just doesn't cross my mind, EVER. |

You and loogy are my usenet nitwits...for the moment. Harry, I've got you pegged and have had you pegged for at least five years. You couldn't live without reading each and every post in this newsgroup. You have proved time and again that your "Bozo(s) Bin" is an illusion which you try to use to denigrate those who you do not always respond to directly. You couldn't stay away from this news group, meaning not reading or posting for two weeks, if you did you would wind up in the hospital with heart problems. Bertie, I still chuckle from time to time over the five years of your bragging that you made more money than I did, and lived in a bigger or better house. Your powers of observation/perception are now greater now than when you quit high school to run away with the Marines. I do earn more money than you do Harry! Do you want to compare tax returns? I do live in a bigger and better house than you do Harry! You know exactly where I live and all of the particulars of my house. |

You're getting pretty weird again and need to get out more, preferably on a larger boat where you could fish the entire Chesapeake instead of just the tributaries. The boat I have now is pretty close to perfect for fishing the entire Chesapeake and its tributaries, Whine. It also works nicely in the ocean. Perhaps if your boating skills were a little sharper, you'd know how to handle small boats in the ocean and not brownstain your shorts. What happened to the 36' Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat Harry? I thought you had two boats? So, assuming your diesel can be sleeved, when is it due for a full overhaul? Soon? And what's the MTBF on that other tranny? Soon? I assume you have a Diesel motor in your 36' Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat? Next time you're in the area, Whine, let me know...we can throw castnets from the bows of our boats in 30" of water near the shoreline and bring up some live baits. I'll put mine in my livewell and you'll put yours in your...well...that would be a problem, wouldn't it? Are you offering Wayne a ride in your 36' Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat too? |
