Oh it probably does, butThe guy that owns the ISP is a farmer, and I maintain his eguipment. So technically i get it free, but not free. Well, lets say, it's "payent in kind". and he doesn't have a huge set up anyhow. He does offer high speed 'net service at below the normal rates to his customers, but it's bare bones stuff. a'la carte. you want it you get it. But there's plenty of anti virus stuff out there for nothing as well,a nd even though I don't hardly use AOL anymore I'm on their "free edition" because I'm going though a seperate provider (I'm suprised they haven't tanked already). I do get some additional protection using their anti-bug stuff rovided w/AOL, and there's a bunch of other independant anti-bug stuff out there too! So, I don't want to say I'm "cheap" but seeing I don't really use the 'net for business, If I can save a buck, I'll do it. |

That's not cheap - that's miserly. :) With all that "free" stuff, you'd think you could at least get a decent news server. Hell, there are free servers out there - use one of them. This is one of the better ones - it's the descendant of the old Berlin news server. http://news.datemas.de/ Here's a list. http://ecalame.tripod.com/free.html Google sucks. |

Not that it matters to you, but some are filtering gmail to keep from seeing all the spam that emanates from there. Sort of like a spam bozo bin. Only reason I haven't done it is I might not see what you and Chuck have to say. Unacceptable. --Vic |

Harry, If you can't afford the gas for 20 hrs of boating in a year, it is time to sell the boat and shoot more beer cans. |
