After two or three serious wake up calls you'd think that the message would have gotten across but it obviously hasn't happened. Detroit won't change until the last fool in the country finally dies. Is not the fools in the country, is the fact that the automotive industry is controlled by a very small group of people. And most are children of the founders. Lots of stock and no ability, still gets them on the Board of Directors. Couple that with a union that forces companies to pay people $65,000-$70,000 a year to do virtually nothing.... That was an eye opener when I first saw it on some news show. Might've been a Ford shop where a bunch of people were sitting around watching TV & reading, waiting for someone on the assembly line to call in sick or some such nonsense. |
