I didn't even know what browser version I had - I've got IE 7.

Works for me.

Me too, but I rarely use it. I use Firefox. I like it.

You know what I hate most about Firefox and IE7?

Tabbed browsing.

I didn't like it either when it arrived with their respective browser
updates. But now, I've become used to it and find it helpful.

You *are* aware that in Firefox you can disable the tabbed browsing? I
don't know about IE7.

Works for me.
I have IE7, but it keeps freezing up and then shutting down. *I think it
has to do with security settings and my anti-virus, there are also some
web sites that just will not open in IE7 or won't allow me to log on,
yet when I use go to Firefox it opens right up.

I think you need to take some Computer 101 classes Reggie.
Being the helpful people they are, MS offers the following advice if IE7
hangs up or freezes.

So switch back to IE6 or FF if you do not know how to use IE7 properly.

Like the old joke............a guy visits a doctor complaining that his arm
hurts when he bends it. *The doctor looks at him and says.........so don't
bend it anymore.

Maybe the sites "know" what a flaming ass is, and won't let him through
the gate. :}- Hide quoted text -

Tabbed browsing is what turned me on to FF in the first place at a time when
IE hadn't gotten around to it.

Just curious, what don't you like about the tab feature?

Did your *source* have any reviews of the Chevy Silverado?

Oh joy...the class idiot has promoted himself to computer maven. Glad I
have the troll where he belongs, in the dumpster with the rest of the
crap.

Reggie said he uses FireFox but complains about IE7. *He earlier said his OS
is WinXP but complains about VISTA.

Is there a pattern here?

I dunno' he has mostly pasted other folks experience, fair enough. I
have noticed over the year when folks have insufficient backups to
revert back from a bad package or installation, they tend to get real
testy and look for someone to go off on (blame)... ;) Not suggesting
Reggie is in that catergory, but if he were a client, I would have
that in the back of my mind... ;)

You have to ask? Reggie has nothing on topic to discuss here, so he goes
off on these idiotic tangents, knowing that there always is an
undercurrent of "hatred" for MS and its wares. He's a classic troll.

Hell, I use Firefox *and* IE7. There are some sites that Firefox simply
will not resolve properly, even if you set up FF with an IE emulation
add-on. I happen to like FF better.

And the major reason some sites don't resolve properly in IE is that IE is
not 100% W3C compliant. Yes, that's the standard that MS helps write.

You might be correct, but it really was not a big deal to me, but when i
read the article about problems with IE7, it made me think about how I
had switched most of my browsing from IE to FF.

I really think MS is having the same problems IBM had when they owned
the market. Technology is changing very quickly, and MS is like a big
ocean liner, that is very very slow to change and are now market
followers instead of market leaders.

It is probably a few years before I buy a new computer, but the way it
looks now, I will buy an Apple.

Sure he is. And now we find that he has assumed several aliases here over
the past few days. Do the handles of JG2U and Stunk ring a bell?

Coincidentally both are new here and instantly started attacking me.

Go figure. ;-)

No, why do you ask?

He needs something to pull the 32' Grady White he's going to buy.

Your memory is failing you old man......but why am I not surprised. I
will be looking at those in the 23 foot range once my son can take

Did you and Reggie take some classes on how to mimic Abbot and Costello?

Abbot & Costello were too talented for those two.
We know who Smithers is but John seems to mimic this clown...
