Is MS losing it? IE 7 almost as bad as Vista

Is Internet Explorer 7 matching Windows Vista in the level of disappointment delivered to end users? Did your *source* have any reviews of the Chevy Silverado? Oh joy...the class idiot has promoted himself to computer maven. Glad I have the troll where he belongs, in the dumpster with the rest of the crap. Reggie said he uses FireFox but complains about IE7. He earlier said his OS is WinXP but complains about VISTA. Is there a pattern here? You have to ask? Reggie has nothing on topic to discuss here, so he goes off on these idiotic tangents, knowing that there always is an undercurrent of "hatred" for MS and its wares. He's a classic troll. Hell, I use Firefox *and* IE7. There are some sites that Firefox simply will not resolve properly, even if you set up FF with an IE emulation add-on. I happen to like FF better. George W. I think it has to do with security settings and my anti-virus, there are also some web sites that just will not open in IE7 or won't allow me to log on, yet when I use go to Firefox it opens right up. I think you need to take some Computer 101 classes Reggie. I did find this bit of info you might find interesting: Why some sites may not work with IE7 So stop using IE7 and stop whining. I am not whining, I am discussing a topic that is pertinent to those who use the internet. Now whining would be if I made a post and said "I don't know if I can take anymore, my boat broke because I didn't maintain it, my basement flooded because I didn't keep up with my sump pump and on and on". That is whining, I just made a comment about a problem MS is having with their new OS and browser. Do you see the difference? |

I think you need to take some Computer 101 classes Reggie. Being the helpful people they are, MS offers the following advice if IE7 hangs up or freezes. So switch back to IE6 or FF if you do not know how to use IE7 properly. Like the old joke............a guy visits a doctor complaining that his arm hurts when he bends it. The doctor looks at him and says.........so don't bend it anymore. I, and many other people, have found it much easier to just use Firefox. So go back to using it and stop whining. But if he does that, he'll have one less subject about which to troll. -- George W. Bush - the 43rd Best President Ever! |

You could spend the rest of your life following those guidelines. I think BillyG is just being protective. He knows which sites are bad, and therefore locks up to prevent you from going there. Any site, for example, from which you might download something to make using your computer easier or more productive is automatically in his 'lock up' list. My advice is - use Internet Explorer *only* for retrieving information from MS or for downloading MS products. For all else, Firefox is the way to go. Except for news reading, in which case the old Forte' Agent (1.91) is the way to go. But, JimH thinks I've got him killfiled, so he *must* be an expert.
