Well, I suppose we have our own ways of wasting billions of tax dollars
on our military.

But you can't think of any so you post that moronic sentence.

For the money we've *wasted* on the military in Iraq, we could have
rebuilt New Orleans, fixed the levees for real, made many needed
I would rather spend money on *anything* than rebuilding below sea
level in an area ripe with corruption.

Well, much of Iraq is above sea level, but it is ripe with corruption, so
guess that's okay with you.

I believe you really understand the reason we needed to go into Iraq and
realize the successes we have had in our fight against terrorists..........I
also believe you are purposely ignoring those facts just to show support to
your party, the Democrats.

Carry on. We understand.

We went into Iraq because Bush was dying in the polls, of course, and
his neoncon puppetmasters thought a bit of warmongering would help him.

That's it, in a nutshell.

Nothing we are doing in Iraq is going to minimize the onslaught of
islamic terrorism.

GB's plan seems to be working................perfectly!

And you know it. '-)

Too much hot buttered rum for you tonight, Jim? You're climbing up the
ladder of absurdity. Unless, of course, you are referring to Bush's plan
to bankrupt this country and make us the most hated country in the
world. He's succeeding at that.

You forgot to tell us why Clinton was in, around and over (bombing the
**** out of) Iraq for 8 years. ... WMDs?
Was Clinton's threat to invade Iraq in 1998 just bull****?
This is a 16 year old war and THREE presidents share the blame
That is why Bush, Clinton, Bush ... Clinton will not change our
position in Iraq one iota.
If you really want an end to the war Democrats have Kucinich and maybe
Obama.
The Republicans have Ron Paul.
Everyone else seems committed to spend our last dime and sacrifice our
last soldier to give the Iraqis democracy whether they want it or not.
Pretty dismal huh?

Compare the costs in lost U.S. lives and dollars to what Clinton did in
his term to the costs in lives and dollars with what Bush has done. In
the end, Bush's naive "nation-building" in Iraq will be just another one
of his many, many failures.

I like Dennis, but not as a president. His heart is in the right place,
but he has zip "leadership" promise. He does have a hot wife, though.

Ron Paul is a lunatic.

I'm hoping the Republicans nominate Huckabee. He'll lose the general
election in grand style, and the Republicans will then have an excuse to
dump the evangelicals out on their asses, where they belong.

Seems like I recall that right after 9/11 (and before we went into Iraq)
that Bush's favorable poll numbers soared.

I agree Harry, 2 trillion and counting, would have solved a lot of

Bowwowing money to pour down a rat hole in Iraq is simply
unconscionable.

Sorry about that, I saw Barbara "Wawa" today ... or was it Elmer Fudd?
;-)

It's part of the Communist conspiracy to bury us. But this time in debt.

Further, if we want to give our military something useful to do, modify
the laws a bit and put 'em to work on the borders...of the USA. Most
Americans would be glad to see U.S. solders, marines, whatevers, on our
borders, keeping illegals and terrorist wanna be's out.

Watch it Harry, You sound like Pat Buchanan now. Were you one of the
1607 Palm Beach County voters in 2000?

I agree about the chicoms simply buying us out instead of fighting us
in a war although they would win a WWII style war with us right now.
They probably have better code breakers and they certainly can out
produce us (the real reasons we won the war)

I've always favored protecting our borders, all of our borders. I'm not
in favor of rounding up and deporting "illegals" who are working hard
and trying to make it in this country.

Rounding up and deporting illegals removes the incentive to cross in the
first place.

They broke the law.
