Apparently Dumb Dan doesn't know what a black rifle is. One of the URLs in that reference post showed a black rifle. The URL in question led to this: http://tinyurl.com/35l4df Now, I didn't look closely at the photo, but it sure looked like an assault or assault-looking rifle of 1960s to current manufacture, one of the "ARs" or a facsimile of one. They are referred to as black rifles. I'll leave it to the junior googlers to figure out why. A Colt 1911 is an assault weapon. A Remington Model 1200 is and assault weapon. Hell, a Ka-Bar is an assault weapon. A toenail clipper is an assault weapon. A Swiss Army knife is an assulat weapon. Anything a soldier or Marine caries into battle can be classified as an assault weapon. D'oh. Thanks Bertie. Now, back into your vat of D'oh. |

Until now, I'd never heard that description. Of course, most of those I've been around who discuss it had some military background. -- John H |

And before any of you audiophiles get your feathers up, I have only been playing for about two years so yes, everything new sounds cool to me.. And I just like to play around in my office anyway. I've used an older ME-8 at home for quite a few years. It's not bad in moderation but the presets are kinda cheesy. I'm giving it to a friend since replacing it with a Line-6 X3. Same complaint with that though, most of the presets are over-done and tweeking is required. |
