It was a lot cheaper back in the days of the old 45s. Not sure about that. Most of the music kids have is pirated stuff. --Vic They're shooting themselves in the foot by doing that. In interviews, lots of musicians complain that they go to the trouble to create albums, not just individual songs. Some kids never get to hear the albums. And, they never see liner notes, which can lead to new musical discoveries. Buy an album, and find that maybe it's got Victor Wooten on bass. Buy a Victor Wooten album, and discover a drummer you like. Buy his album, and find a guitarist you never heard of. Pretty soon, you're broke, but you have lots of great music. Exactly! I like having the liner notes from CD's. I'm sometimes amazed at who has played on certain songs with the lead artist, who produced, etc. |
