have got to get control of your government.

That's already taxed here. We still have people shaped like the
back
of
a
bus.

You do know that we've seen pictures of you. :)

Am I your current fantasy, captain?

Not at all.

Just saying. :)

OK, but I'm now eliminating the momentary glitch by walking 90 minutes
a
day
with 50 pounds on my back, along with leg & arm weights. If you need a
late
night fantasy, focus on JohnH.:
http://tinyurl.com/2smbuj

Oh - a tad touchy there Dougie.

Tsk - no reason to get snippy just because they could put advertising
on your sides and a destination sign on your forehead.

So to speak. :)

Actually, I've been 170 +/- 2 lbs since college. I hit 188 this past
summer.
That's in the process of being fixed. There is no way I will go up an
inch
in waste size. Can't happen. Not permissible.

LOL!!

I totally understand. I look like that proverbial bus myself, but I
can't do a damn thing about it unless I limit myself to one small baby
carrot in the morning, a spoon of cottage cheese at lunch and a
cracker at night. Due to the meds I take for my arthritis condition,
I can't get rid of the weight - my metabolism has slowed WAY down. As
it is, I only take in about 1200 calories a day and still weigh 250.

And I'm a pretty active type to boot - well, reasonably considering
the fact that I find walking a problem sometimes. I still do a couple
of miles a day and moderate strength stuff.

Hey, I'm used to it now. :)

Is the arthritis the reason for the interest in the bass guitar? Keep the
hands flexible & moving?

10-4.

I discussed this with Tim - all my guitars, with the exception of the
'66 Strat, have wider than normal necks and I'm finding it difficult
to play as more nodes appear in the fingers.

The Strat is worth some bucks, so I generally don't play it - same
thing with my autographed Country Gentleman.

Thus, switching over to bass.

Bass may give you a narrower neck, but you'll need more force to play it.
You'll also utilize less fingers most of the time, so it may not give you
the workout all the fingers need.

Good point.

Hmmm - maybe a keyboard or a new Telecaster - or whatever they are
calling them now.

Ban burning wood in fireplaces? What's next, banning cooking hamburgers on

There is a county or county in the Netherlands where there is a tax on
back yard grilling which comes to something like $27 American. The tax
is to offset the CO2 emissions in relation to the environment (global
taxing). The most rediculous part of the whole law was they are
planning on flying a frekin' chopper with IR on hot summer evenings to
find scaflaws. Idiots...

Too gentle. Not enough actual movement of the joints. You know what I'm
thinking? Hint: Roosevelt Greer did it in a commercial a million years ago.

Knitting. And, if you're man enough (like Namath), modeling pantyhose.

Actually, if you want a workout, upright bass would be much better. More
movement, more stretching, AND...

(get ready for the best part)

I think one of the biggest dealers on the East Coast is in CT. I could find
out more, if you're interested. An upright needs more custom setup than an
electric. If done wrong, you end up dead. Literally. Your hands fall off.

That is so anal. Netherlands is cold, having things grow green in January
would be great.

Sooner or later you know we are going to have to fight this insanity. What
boater would not like to go to Leach Lake Minnesota in January to fish! Or
perhaps Hudsons Bay.

Are these idiots so in love with snow for? Canada has tree stumps coming
from glaciers only 7000 years old!
http://www.livescience.com/environme...ee-stumps.html

Given how old this planet is, warming might be just the thing and one whole
lot more normal that your average greeny thinks. Besides, most greeny
people are in it for the green back.

Just one problem: The things you think you could enjoy in January might not
be there to enjoy. Everything might change along with the climate. Think
about it: If you want huge pike, you go to Canada, where the winters are
longer than they are here. Why are pike bigger there?

Was needle point, not knitting the Rosie did. My uncle did knitting while
waiting for the next battle while spending WW2 in the South Pacific. Said
it was just knots.
