At the south end of the bridge or in mid-channel?


The North bar (Four Fathom Bank) is the killer. Very few traverse the south
bar and live to tell the story. There is a South Channel on the charts, but
is really non-existent. You have to be within about 20' of the rocks on
shore to have enough depth in most boats. Actually mid channel can be crap
also, but is deeper and as long as you stay mid channel, is doable. Pt.
Bonita on the North comes out a long ways towards the channel and has rocks
offshore of the point.
