I noticed that the fight still appeared to be going on 100 and some posts into the thread (didn't read most of them after things devolved into name callind, etc). So, sorry. I figured if there was still a lont of angst over whether the event or similar events had occured the actual fact of the matter hadn't come to light yet. Actually, only one name was called, and that was to a fictional character. No one called anyone a liar. Actually, there's been very little 'angst'. Actually, only one name was called, and that was to a fictional character. No one called anyone a liar. Odd; I swear I saw at least a suggestion that that somebody was "making it up as you go along." But you may be technically correct and perhaps only the accusation of lying (rather than the official title "liar") appeared in this thread. Actually, there's been very little 'angst'. It's best to know what's under you when you jump in with both feet. I'm trying to keep my feet, ankles, knees, etc out of it, thanks anyway. Tall boots help. There are a lot of very unpleasant posts in this thread. And no need, as it turns out that Harry at the very least *could have* seen exactly what he claims he saw. No reason to believe otherwise. The disconnect must be that some folks were trying to think of a traditional religious practice that would involve a live actor posing on a cross, and outside of some Latin American cultures it's apparently very rare. However, that doesn't stop some individual zealot from doing just exactly that, and doing so down in some small town in Florida -- John H- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - |

The fact that I don't believe something doesn't mean it's a lie. I *could* be wrong. You're looking too hard. There are a lot of statements made here that have engendered disbelief. Does it mean the makers of the statement are liars? Hell no. It simply means someone didn't believe the statement. -- John H |
