It's the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, an event that led Gordon Lightfoot to pen the "American Pie" of shipwreck songs. Pretty nifty interactive he http://www.startribune.com/static/fitzgerald/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jxX2aZtVXQ Lightfoot apparently recovered from his surgery and coma and went on to record a new album. Does anyone know what his ailment was...it sure was serious. A better one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99rOzMVtcx4 I don't know what happened to Lightfoot, but love his toons. Besides originally being from the north shore of Superior it is one lake I would recommend staying close to port. For me, I would rather do the triangle. Of the several videos offered, I agree with your choice. Good presentation. |
