Tranny repairs suck. Yes but this is a good place to get work done. Some of the biggest builders of custom sportfish are just a few miles south of here - lots of good people and lots of resources. It's also an interesting area to poke around in. Kitty Hawk and the Wright Brothers Museum are a few miles north, Cape Hatteras and Ocracoke about 60 miles south. There are miles and miles of deserted beaches, big dunes, interesting wildlife, etc. We have rented houses on the Outer Banks several times, including in Duck, Corolla and Kitty Hawk. It is a nice place to vacation. So have we...hmmm. I like Hilton Head, too. |
