If you were lucky they'd only hit you in the hand instead of the face. in the 60's they were only about 25c. ea. a lot of fun for the money. We used to save the parts of the ones that you catapulted into the sky with a rubberband sort of like a slingshot. Come 4th of July, we would make flyable ones out of the parts and put screw eyes under the wings and insert firecrackers in the eyes. One launched it while another lit the fuses.
