... "JoeSpareBedroom" wrote in message ... Here you go again, using words that have nothing to do with the discussion in progress. Who's telling you to say "communism"? 'Fess up. Who's coaching you? Ah, the man with a million questions is up and about, assigning NG homework already. Eisboch It was a fair question, Eisboch. I mean, if you decided to try your hand at making sourdough bread, and your wife said "Don't forget the time you tried plumbing and flooded the basement", you'd probably wonder how her mind made that leap. The same thing is happening here. It's a stupid kneejerk reaction from a person pulling a word outta his ass with no idea what it means or how it applies to the situation (which it clearly does not). I don't like communism or socialism, but that's not what this is about. |

Eisboch You trivialize the issue of people being trained to use inflammatory words, but it's not trivial. I wonder who said this: "I always say my real purpose is to attract the largest audience I can, and hold it for as long as I can, so I can charge confiscatory advertising rates," |

Close, but no. I thought we established this was Rush. It sure sounds like someone who understands what "free" broadcasting is all about. This is a guy who made millions "giving his show away for free". The same is true of "free" TV and "free" internet services like Yahoo and Google. You pay every time you buy something they advertise there in higher prices. Of course Google et al is also a serious threat to your privacy. If you are "logged in" or accept cookies your inbox is certain to be stuffed with spam based on everything you ever looked at on the web. They may also sell your search history to the highest bidder. Certainly the government has free access to it. All true, but his statement also explains what his mission is NOT, and his most rabid devotees do not understand this. |
