In Marxist theory, communism is a system of organization based on the holding of all property in common with actual actual ownership being ascribed to the community as a whole or to the state. Socialism is the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles according to Marx. Those are the classic interpretations. Apply them at your peril. :) Do we need an interpreter or something? I know what the words mean. He does not. They have nothing to do with this Nobel prize discussion, and THAT IS MY BEEF with your little puppy. He, like millions of others, uses words he doesn't understand, in contexts where they have no purpose. He does this because at the moment when he has an uncontrollable need to write something, anything, he just reaches into his panties and you've seen the result. I'll just say this and I'm leaving this "discussion" to you. Your stock in trade lately is insult and I had thought you were smarter than that. |

I have plenty of patience, but when he makes it obvious that he's toying with someone, I find it insulting, and I shut off the patience. He explicitly requested what he got. The other possibility is that he really doesn't understand what's going on in this discussion. If that's the case, and he's beyond the age of maybe 16, he should just keep quiet. |

Bassy, Everyone wants to know, and I was elected to ask you, do you prefer to kiss bass or pick loogies? And of course he misrepresented my statements (anyone surprised?). I never said he called me names, I made reference to him calling others names, Coulter for instance. Another intellectually dishonest progressive, who would have thought;) |

Who's coaching you?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Yesterday the talking point he got from Limbaugh the drug addict was "socialist", today it's "communism". Yes. Hugh Bimbo, as Michael Savage calls him. The bimbo who said this: "I always say my real purpose is to attract the largest audience I can, and hold it for as long as I can, so I can charge confiscatory advertising rates," the talk show host says. And what's wrong with that? Nothing. It's free enterprise. But, it's got nothing to do with improving the country politically. Agree. I will occasionally listen to Limbaugh, not for substance but entertainment (to me) value.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Hurmph... I find him kind of boring, of course I have not heard him since 83' when they played it in the shop. Guess that's why I find it funny that the intellectually dishonest here accuse me of it every day;) It's easy for them, kind of like talk radio.. they don't really want to work or produce a product anyone wants to hear, so they will legislate themselves into an income, they really have not earned... It's all about self indulgence, it's all about non-accountability. OK - we've eliminated Hush Bimbo as the source for your silly use of the word "communism", or sometimes "socialism". That means you just pull the word outta your ass when you need to torpedo a discussion. Doug, how do you define 'discussion'? A simple, brief explanation will suffice, something you could say to an economics class. |

"Short Wave Sportfishing" wrote in message ... Speculation is so much fun. I think 9/11 would have happened in any case, but be that as it may, I wonder if Al is going to run for Prez. True, 9/11 would have happened one way or another. Any time a country allows freedom plus wealth for it's citizens it is a target. Unfortunately those in power want to keep the world stupid and enslaved will always focus their citizens ignorance and hate of a crappy life towards the US. When in fact it is their own religious or fanactical dictator that does it to them. But America should get out. Their people learn best from the brutality of their own. But Gore is an opportunistic PoS. Lets hope we don't get a limp biscuit "prez". I'll bet he's talked into it. Plus, he can't resist it. If only to put it to the Clintons for basically abandoning him in 2000. :) |
