Get some butt connectors that have the shrink wrap insulation and use
those. Alternatively, solder the wires together and use shrink wrap.

Butt Connectors?? If you can solder the wires together there is no
question in my opinion. Hey SW got some video of that 25 horse on
Crystal Lake. The steering works fine, the cables were made from
jumper cables. I left the factory connections from the alligator clips
and just cut them down round and drilled holes in the copper. The
thing starts really nicely (with a rope or starter when it catches),
water pump pumps very nicely. Gear oil great... Probably still only
goes about 15 of so but I ran it for about an hour and a half today to
run it out first time. I did have it running in a barrel for a couple
of hours yesterday before I hit the lake

Those keys get there yet?

Sorry folks - I lost Don't email addy.

Woo hoo! Noticed our mailman walking up to my door as I was reading this
newsgroup.
Sure enough, he delivered your envelope with the two keys and the Lowrance
manual.
First thing, I went out and tried the keys...they were a bit tight so I
flushed the locks with WD40 and will followup with lock graphite when they
dry out.
Question..re spare wheel lock... do I 'screw off' the two pieces of angled
metal?? I've applied WD40 to loosen any corrosion before attempting.

re Lowrance sonar
The manual doesn't show one single picture of a transducer...
I want to make sure it's pointing the proper way.
It seems like the 'eye' is at the end of the bullet shaped unit pointing
aft.
On the other hand it would make more sense if the transducer was positioned
in its more streamlined position...as it is now.
note: the bracket doesn't allow me to turn the unit enough do that the
somewhat pointy end is straight up and the flat bottom is down.

I've never owned a depth sounder so these questions may seem silly... but I
do want it set up correctly.

Try email, Don.

Cut off your son's beer supply for a few weeks and you can go buy

Maybe you could cut back a few cases a week and send surplus beer up here.

Listen, Dumbass Don. Your posts here are public and *maybe* there are
(a lot) of people that could care less about your boat keys.

Any beer consumption I may have doesn't involve my ability to buy what I
want. You will never hear me bitching about something that only costs
$70.00 (plus tax). I have no need to "cut back" on any expenses to buy
anything right now.
