However, to be fair, I ignored "SA" because it wasn't relevant, compared to "hammerless". Obviously, the two ideas don't belong together, and "SA" has no relevance to this discussion. SA = Single Action, the hammer MUST be cocked for each shot (assuming a revolver), DA = Double Action it can be fired with a pull of the trigger only or (if it has a hammer) in SA mode to reduce the trigger pull.. Harrys comment was completely relevant. It is the distinction that makes the difference. |
