Does this stuff have a use that I don't know about? I'm usually just
happy to find a place where I can get rid of it.

I was really kidding about needing a gallon pail of used oil, but if you
pour some into a bucket of sand, it makes a great way to clean off your
yard tools and coat them with oil to prevent rust. When I change my
oil, I also bring it by the Jiffy Lube and give it to them. They sell
the oil to a recycler.

That sounds like it might work well for golf clubs also!

It would, but I think you might hook and shank your balls even more than
you do now.

Reggie can use it on his hair.

Harry, was this thread too sociable for you? Are you just exercising one of
your 'foibles' which are common to all of us?

Yeah, he was being a little mean, taking advantage of my beginner status.

Doesn't the marina have a recycle tank?

Some do, some don't. I just carry it around until I find one that
does.

Interestingly enough some people have reported good results mixing
used oil with diesel fuel (5% oil, 95% diesel) and pouring it back
into the fuel tanks. If I didn't work so hard trying to keep the fuel
clean and the engines happy it would have a certain amount of appeal.
Our old garage mechanic used to burn it in his oil furnace.
