Why don't you go on someplace else? -- John H Why don't you go **** yourself, diaper boy? More insight into Doug's personality disorder. It's amusing to see how you behave when someone deflates your theories by asking you a question you're too stupid to answer. I have one of the toughest skins in this entire group. You on the other hand have one of the weakest skins. You believe you are owed a response to every question you pose. You need to get over that hang-up and just deal with USENET as it is, a place where you can come and talk with, BS with and ignore anyone you want. Tell me what the least expensive family health insurance plan costs in Rochester NY. At least take a guess. Why? Your "why" was answered yesterday. You cannot make claims involving numbers unless you have the numbers. You will now disagree, something that's sadly predictable. Because insurance costs in Rochester, New York only concern someone who lives there. And so you are the only one here who gives a crap about Rochester insurance costs. Do your own work, He made a general statement which applied to the entire nation. Without knowing specifics, his statement was meaningless. Try reading more of the messages in a thread before commenting. I read the thread. He probably cares less what insurance costs in Rochester. Maybe Frostbite runs up the rates. Or winter alcoholism. He may be able to look up policies in his area with some interest. Whatever. It's about $675.00, unless you're on NY's poverty plan. Not funny. That doesn't seem to be out of line for what you get in case of an emergency or life threatening situation. True, but if I recall, the poverty plan becomes available at an income level of 42K. While it may seem that a family with maybe 2 kids should be able to manage on (picking a number here) 45K, there are families whose lifestyles were based on let's say 75K, but their employers shut down. So, suddenly, the "opportunity" to pay for the insurance no longer exists. Here, Kodak is an example. Then you have to change your lifestyle. Get a different career. You may have to flip burgers for awhile, but no where is it declared that if you have a $75k job, you always get to live that lifestyle. And if you lived a $45k lifestyle while making $75k, your investments would tide you over. You're right. It's easy to get a different career, usually in a day or two, especially if your specialty was film emulsions. Thanks for clearing this up for me. Do you have a degree in chemistry? Or just poured the emulsions into a vat? You may have to move, you may have to go back to school, you may have to go to a $40k job and not buy a car every 4 years. You get unemployment for up to 26 weeks. Time to find another job or career. You may have to move. Life is tough at times, but this is not a world with guaranteed lifetime employment. I said you were right. Therefore, any time a family suddenly cannot afford insurance, it's their fault for reproducing outside of your approved criteria, and having too many luxuries. You're right. All done. I was not the one saying you have too many kids. I just say crap happens. If you are healthy, then you should go get a new job. Not like you are down with terminal disease. |
